Appointment Guidelines

We feel strongly about providing gentle care and support, especially for pets who feel anxious about nail trims. Building trust takes time, which is why we go slow and steady with nervous pets. By creating positive nail trim experiences, we aim to make nail care more pleasant.

We provide nail trims for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and ferrets. Monthly appointments are not required, but we recommend them to help your pet become more comfortable with the process. The $5 recurring discount begins after your first full-price visit.

Location

  • Services performed at the front porch of homes.

  • There is no entry inside homes, backyards, or gated areas.

  • For apartments, we meet at the front office to perform nail trims.

  • Gate codes must be provided during booking if applicable.

Address

  • No same-day address changes.

  • The address will be confirmed via auto text after booking; please verify carefully.

Appointment

  • Your level of involvement is up to you.

  • Pets must be leashed.

  • Ensure a secure harness/leash to prevent escapes.

  • Appointments are kept short to reduce anxiety.

  • For food-motivated dogs, we suggest using a peanut butter lick mat for distraction.

  • Only one pet is handled at a time for safety.

  • For high-anxiety or reactive pets, we may adjust the visit to a “happy visit” to focus on building trust.

Payment

  • Debit and credit cards accepted (card must be physically present).

  • Cash tips are welcome.

  • No invoicing or cash payment for services.

Preparation

  • Please have pets use potty before the appointment.

  • Be ready at the porch when we arrive.

  • We do not knock on doors.

Policies

  • Be home during the appointment window (+/- 30 minutes).

  • Recurring 4-week appointments are available at a $5 lower rate.

  • Reduced rate begins after the first full-price visit.

  • Appointment adjustments may occur due to route changes.

  • Dogs with a bite risk must be muzzled by their owner.

  • The dog must be conditioned to wear the muzzle without trying to remove it.

  • If the muzzle is removed or the pet becomes unsafe, the appointment may end early for safety.

Cancellation & Liability

  • Full price is due for cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment, no-shows, or unprepared clients.

  • Unconfirmed appointments will be canceled.

  • We cannot service aggressive pets or extreme cases without sedation.

  • Building trust takes time; high-anxiety pets may need multiple visits.

  • We are not responsible for property damage or damage caused by your pet.

  • Appointments may be adjusted to a “happy visit” if your pet cannot be safely trimmed.

  • Services may be canceled if our team feels unsafe or unwelcome.

No Entry

  • For safety, we do not enter homes—please respect this policy.

  • Services may be canceled for those who do not make our team feel comfortable.
